There is no such thing as a kinder and gentler imperial state

Do not become confused. The European Union (EU) is a danger to America and a danger to the free West. Stop arguing about what an Ideal EU could be and focus on the reality of what exists and what it is likely to evolve into.

You don’t say?

One of the “founding fathers” of the European Union, Jean Monnet, famously said, “Europe will be forged in crises, and will be the sum of the solutions adopted for those crises.”

What have I been arguing for years?

Remember, the EU doesn't care about solving any particular problem. The EU just wants the authority to address the problem, as I noted before Russia invaded Ukraine (again). Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Empire[.]

And if there is no crisis, the EU and its fanboys (and girls) conjure up a faux crisis. This is the path to removing the annoying prefix of that proto-imperial entity.

Back to the initial article, which calls the EU "unique":

The European Union has both boosters and critics, but, given the threats of China, Iran, and Russia, and the failed or failing countries in Africa, it is in everyone’s best interest if the EU succeeds, though that may well take significant “forging,” to quote Monnet.

The EU has tried to "balance" between America and dictatorial China; between America and Islamist Iran; and between Hamas murderers and Israel. And until Russia invaded Ukraine, the EU sucked up to Russia.

The latest crisis for the EU is that Russia is a threat to the EU:

Russia poses a direct threat to the European Union through acts of sabotage and cyberattacks, but its massive military spending suggests that President Vladimir Putin also plans to use his armed forces elsewhere in the future, the EU’s top diplomat warned on Wednesday.

Not a threat to NATO with the actual military role to protect Europe. Not a threat to threatened sovereign European states. Nope, a threat to the EU.

The idea that Alexander Hamilton's observations about America's uniqueness apply to the EU is ludicrous. The EU is a threat to America and a threat to Europeans who will be "forged" good and hard. Remember, the EU blames European people—not the rulers—for two world wars.

Kill this monster before it is born:

The European Union hates America and it hates democracy. It should be American policy to kill this proto-empire in its crypt before it does real damage to America and Europe itself.

The EU is "unique"? Hardly. It's just carrying out another in a long line of imperial power grabs arguing all will be well within a stronger "Europe".
